Sharon Full Gospel Church began with a Gospel mission in a tent in Pontypool Park during 1936. Many local people were saved, miraculously healed and baptised in the Holy Spirit under the ministry of Newport evangelist Howell Harris. This group of new Christian believers built Emmanuel Hall, which is now the Pontypool Salvation Army, (next to what was Pontypool Rugby Club) before moving into the current building on Osborne Road in 1952.

Sharon Full Gospel Church is a witness for Jesus Christ to the whole of Pontypool, which is one of the largest towns in Wales. Our meetings provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship God. The church is known for its friendliness and care for its members, who come from many different backgrounds.

We remain committed to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every man, woman and child in Pontypool – and to reaching out beyond our hometown in any way we can – until He comes again. Will you join us?
